Tsunami

Zachwiala sie Ziemia
w swiecie od nas dalekim –
tam wokol was.

Lustrzane morze cofalo sie
odplywalo, znikalo po horyzont,
zostal piasek szerokich plaz.

Bezwiedni mali i duzi
podziwiali biala smuge
podnoszacego sie oceanu.

W jaskrawym sloncu
pod nie grozacym niebem
monstrualna woda uderzyla w lad.

Rozszalalym przyplywem
apokaliptyczna potega przyrody
wtlaczala swa moc w ludzkosc.

Czlowiek przestal znaczyc,
posiadac i kontrolowac,
byl nicoscia na porywanej plazy.

Nieprzewidzianie przez ludzi
kataklizmowy ocean zabieral
bezbronne zycie.

I ginal Czlowiek
stamtad i stad
i niknal tam Swiat.

Tsunami

The Earth had wobbled
in the world afar from us –
there, around you.

The mirror-like sea had receded, run off,
vanished beyond the horizon;
only the sand of broad beaches remained.

The unknowing small and big ones
admired a moving white streak
of the raising ocean.

In the blazing sun,
under the sky of no menace
the monstrous water hit the shore.

With a raging tide
the apocalyptic might of Nature
forced its power onto the mankind.

Man ceased to signify,
possess and control,
was but nothingness on the beach carried off.

Unpredictably by humans
the cataclysmic ocean kept annihilating
the defenceless lives.

And Man was dying
from there and from here
and the World therein faded away.
